Discover the untamed nature and rich cultural heritage of Ireland’s western coast, with its spectacular ocean vistas, enchanting towns, and craftsmanship deeply rooted in tradition.
We begin our exploration of Ireland this afternoon. Please be ready to depart at 2:00 PM from the Clontarf Castle Hotel lobby, We will be discovering central Dublin with a local guide, viewing elegant Georgian squares, public buildings, and monuments. Experience Glasnevin at Ireland’s national cemetery - it’s a fascinating “who’s who” of modern Irish history.
This evening we will have a chance to get to know our other traveling companions over a welcome drink followed by dinner in the Clontarf Castle Hotel, also our accommodation for the evening.

Today we will be touring the National Famine Museum and then Strokestown Houseto explore Ireland’s tragic history. The grand Georgian mansion will reveal the contrast between the luxurious lives of its residents and the destitution of their tenants. Stroll the park to see the walled gardens and woodlands.
Next we will visit Blakes of the Hollow Pub, a Victorian bar that retains many features original to its founding in 1887. Famed author John McGahern, a regular visitor, described it as “one of the happiest and most beautiful bars in the whole of Ireland”.
Games of Thrones fans will have the chance to take a photo by the official “Game of Thrones” door highlighting the series sixth season.
Our travels continue north to Donegal. With its windswept hills where only sheep can thrive, Donegal is renowned for woolen production and tweeds.

Heading to Teelin we will reach the best viewing point of the Slieve League sea cliffs, the highest in Europe. Enjoy sipping on an Irish coffee as you take in the view from these impressive cliffs. Traveling up through the beautiful views of Donegal we will reach Triona Design Donegal Tweed Center in Adara where spinners and weavers will demonstrate their crafts.
This evening we bill soak in the atmosphere and enjoy dinner at Nancy’s Bar in Adara before returning to our hotel in Donegal town, a busy little town that was once a Viking port.

Discover the secrets that have made Belleek Pottery one of the most enduring success stories of Irish craftsmanship. We will be touring behind the scenes to see how this world-famous fine china is made.
Traveling on to Westport for a guided tour of Westport House, this privately owned manor home is a treasure trove of history, built on castle foundations that once belonged to Grace O’Malley, Ireland’s “Pirate Queen”. The evening is yours to explore to find local treasures and local dining.

Today we will be visiting a traditional farm to see highly skilled sheepdogs show off their talents at minding their herd.
Continuing on to Galway, we will be enjoying a walking tour of this vibrant city’s medieval heart.
Please take some time to explore this lovely city before we come back together to dine in our hotel for the night, the Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel.

With its many thatched cottages, Adare is known as one of Ireland’s most picturesque towns and we will have an opportunity to explore this town on a guided tour.
Following our tour we will drive to Listowel for tea and scones at John B. Keane’s, a pub once owned by one of Ireland’s most notable playwrights; many of his masterpieces were written in a room behind the bar.
Continuing on to Dingle we will visit Murphy’s Ice Cream to taste some of their distinctly Irish flavors made with local ingredients, and then we will have free time to explore this friendly little town.

We will be touring Ireland’s most famous and popular scenic drive, the Ring of Kerry and we will be stopping at Moriarty’s in the beautiful Gap of Dunloe.
Continuing on the scenic drive, we will be pausing for panoramic mountain views at Moll’s Gap.
We will have free time to visit Killarney before returning to Tralee.

A visit to Blarney Castle wouldn't be complete without kissing the famous Blarney stone. Take a leisurely stroll through the lovely parklands and colorful gardens located at the Castle.
This evening we will be enjoying an evening of traditional Irish cuisine and entertainment at Abbey Tavern.
